The museum’s art collection has been built up over a long period. The first work – a portrait said to represent Nils Dacke – was donated as early as 1794. The collection has grown through donations and purchases. Over the years, the museum has focused on art by artists with links to Småland. Today, the museum’s collection comprises about 1,000 oil paintings, plus many other works featuring different materials and techniques. You can see some of them in the organ hall at Småland Museum.
The exhibition can be found at Småland Museum.
