Kosta Glassworks has had an unbroken tradition of manual manufacture since 1742, and the furnace is still burning. This 275th-anniversary exhibition, called Long live Kosta, draws attention to the glass, the works and the people. Here we can follow the long road from sketch to finished glass item and see the range of products from schnapps glasses to unique sculptures. Without creative artists and skilled glassworkers, the glasswork would long since have disappeared. Thanks to their unique work, the glass from Kosta has become an essential part of Sweden’s cultural heritage.
The exhibition continues until further notice and can be found at the Swedish Glass Museum.
