Long Live Kosta

Kosta Glassworks has an unbroken tradition of manual manufacture since 1742 and the furnace is still burning. This 275th anniversary exhibition draws attention to the glass, the works and people. Here we can follow the long road from sketch to finished glass item and see the range of products from schnapps glasses to unique sculptures. Without creative artists and skilful glassworkers, the glassworks would long since have disappeared. Thanks to their unique work, Kosta glass has become an important part of Sweden’s cultural inheritance.

The exhibition continues until further notice, and can be found at the Swedish Glass Museum.
